The projects aim was to design an ansamble of 50-70 affordable apartments. The intervention area is in the intersection of the Bucharest street, H. Barbusse str., Gorunului str. A destructed mix of collective dwellings with different height regime, individual housing, small-scale services.

The built space must be adapted and must favor the different types of operation of the social systems or of the specific social institutions. A real estate development oriented towards maximum profit or even real estate speculation, for example, proposes specific built spaces, with a recognizable character.

Providing solutions for high-quality, low-cost, collective housing accessible to the most diverse categories of population is one of the architect's missions.

Through such a project we tried to stimulate discussions on sustainability (economic, social, energy efficiency).
